Changes of Thought with Technology

This class is helping me to see new ways technology can be brought into the classroom. I especially like the interactive powerpoints. This can be good for presenting materials tot he class as a whole or it is good for an interactive activity students can do on their own or with a partner. It will get students involved with their own learning.
In addition, making brochures is an easy way for the teacher to share information with their entire class and the parents of their students. learning how to make information stand out by using contrasts in different fonts or color schemes was also a very interesting lesson.
Overall, I feel I am learning beneficial ideas for implementing technology into my future classrooms.

Level of Technology Knowledge

Many classrooms are moving in a more technological direction. Many students are constantly glued to a screen be it video games, cell phones, or their computers. Therefore, we might as well use this screen-obsession to our advantage as educators. Many schools have access to computers where students can create blogs or wikis to keep track of information learned in class.

I am becoming more technologically-savvy with each education class I have taken and the more I experiment on my own. I have learned more about social and professional networking online via blogs, twitter, facebook and so on. I have also learned how to create blogs and Wikis as well as new ways of putting out word documents and powepoint presentations.
